Vlera at Balkan Trafik Festival

Kemi kënaqësinë të ju njoftojmë që Vlera do jetë bashkëpuntor zyrtar i edicionit të sivjetshëm të Balkan Trafik-ut i cili do të mbahet gjatë datave 14 deri në 17 prill.
Do jemi gjithashtu prezent gjatë tërë festivalit me një stand ku do prezantojmë turizmin dhe kulturën shqiptare.

We are glad to inform you that Vlera will be an official partner of this year’s edition of the Balkan Trafik festival that will be held from the 14th to the 17th of April.
We will be present there with our stand where we will show the albanian culture and tourism.

Balkan Trafik program :
Vikena Kamenica – Ali Pasha & Keli Band – A musical fusion of two Albanian folk groups accompanied by their dancers. Concert & dances – 14/04/16, 15/04/16 and 16/04/16
Reading of Albanian tales and legends – An enthralling reading-performance to help you meditate on the universal beauty of Albanian tales and legends – 15 and 16 /04/16
Grupi Rinia – An encounter initiated by Balkan Trafik bringing together musicians and wedding singers from the Albanian diaspora of Belgium, Turkey and…Iraq! Saxophone, clarinet, kanun, percussion, two moments of trance and joy – 15/04 at the Vino Zirkus
Vatra – The Albanian community has been present in Belgium for more than sixty years! Some of the members of this large diaspora founded Vatra with the idea of sharing their ancestral culture. For our 10th edition, Vatra (“the foyer”) brings together the group of musicians Rinia, rhapsodies, the fabulous iso-polyphony of the Gjini ensemble and their singing group from central Albania. – 15 and 16 /04/16, and present at the Giant Horo on 17/04
Dren Abazi & Zig Zag Orchestra – Dren Abazi & the Zig Zag Orchestra connect people through their rhythmic music inspired by rock, jazz and ska –15 and 16 /04/16
Nusja e Kosoves – Aziza Šefiragic will select members of the public during the Friday and Saturday evenings and do their make-up in the wedding tradition of her region which is part of UNESCO’s world heritage – 15/04/16
Courrier des Balkans « 10 years in the Balkans » – This workshop will concentrate on the political and social evolution of the Balkans over the past decade with input from Jean-Arnault Dérens (historian and journalist), Belgzim Kamberi (journalist, and president of the Preševo Committee for the Protection of Human Rights), Jovana Papovic (sociologist and journalist) and Nicolas Moll (historian) – Workshop – 16/04/16
Associations – Throughout the festival, come along and discover the different associations Vlera, Gratiartis, Le Courrier des Balkans, the Service Civil International, Time to Travel, National Agency Tourism of Albania, Blue Air.
Shok – Selected at the Oscars in the short film category, the film Shok, a Kosovar production by the British director Jamie Donoughe might have left empty-handed, but the members of the team are delighted to have been the first to represent the Albanians at the American ceremony. In 20 minutes the British-Kosovar director speaks of the tragedy of everyday innocent people. Screening and meeting with the team – 16/04/16 followed by a question-answer session
Giant Horo – This event, which will take place in the Grand Place in Brussels, is now in its 5th year. Participants hold hands as, with the aid of music and dance, they embark upon a voyage of discovery though the magnificent region of the Balkans. Discover the Bulgarian dance and music groups Razlozhki Meratsi and Svetulka, the musicians and dancers of the Albanian diaspora from the Belgian-Albanian group Vatra, songs and dances by the Albanian group Vikena Kamenica – Ali Pasha & Keli Band, but also the Belgian-Turkish dance and music group Dillere Destean, not forgetting the company from the Romanian diaspora of Brussels, Floare de Colt – 17/04/16, free event on the Grand Place
The Comic Strip of the 10th edition – Albania and Kosovo will be guests of honour. Through the eyes of two children, a little girl and boy, both paediatric oncology patients, explain the music and cultures of the Balkans in around thirty pages. It is a journey through the Balkans in search of the culture of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Turkey, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia and their large Rom community. This comic strip will be given away for free during concerts and workshops organised at the University hospital of Saint Luc. A cartoon drawn by the artist Catherine Fradier aka CÄät.
